Biography |
She is a historian of science, a scientific advisor in a permanent vocation (since 2009) and a regular title professor (since 2014). From 1996 to 2016 she has been the director of the Department of History of Natural and Mathematical Sciences of the Institute of History and Philosophy of Science of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and since 2016 she has worked in its Anthropological Center. Born on January 10, 1950 in Brčko (BiH). She graduated from the Faculty of Science in Zagreb (1974), accomplished the postgraduate study of the Philosophy of Science at the Interuniversity Center in Dubrovnik on the topic The Chemical Aspects of Bošković's Theory (1979), and obtained her PhD in the Faculty of Science of the University of Zagreb with Thesis Flogiston Theory in Croatian Authors (1991), under the mentorship of academician Drago Grdenić. She is engaged in researching the natural and natural philosophical, especially alchemical and chemical aspects of Croatian scholars in the European context. From these areas, she has published as author and co-author six scientific books and four editorial books and one booklet by Ruđer Bošković, published in Croatian, French and English. She is the author of 119 scientific papers, 64 review, professional and popular-scientific papers and 7 book reviews. Together with academician Xenofon Ilakovc, she edited the book of editions of the Discussion and Material History Department of the Croatian Academy of Sciences. She is a member of the editorial office of several magazines and editions. She has participated in the exhibition of Science in Croats (1996) and Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem - the springs of European civilization (2009) and wrote articles on the catalogs of these exhibitions. She has participated in numerous scientific journals of HR and HRT. She was the head of two projects of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, and is associate of a four-year project of Croatian Philosophy and Science in the European context of the 12th to 20th Century Croatian Science Foundation. Since 1996 was lecturing at Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb with a degree in "History of Exact Sciences in Croats", from 1998 to 2004 lectured on "History of Chemistry" at the Faculty of Science in Zagreb, and since 1993 have been lecturing "History of Chemistry" at Department of chemistry of the JJ University Strossmayer in Osijek. Since 2017. lecture at Faculty Croatian Studies in University of Zagreb.

Now I colaborate with Head-quartes of Dubrovnik in writing book „The naturalist of Dubrovnik in tip od History of Scence“ (2020.). |

Hrvatski studiji Sveučilišta u Zagrebu pokrenuti su i ustrojeni 16. studenoga 1992., isprva samo kao dvosemestralni Sveučilišni komparativni studij hrvatske filozofije i društva. Taj je program potom preoblikovan u program redovitog četverogodišnjeg studija.
